Kim Gravel:

The holidays are here. I decided to chatgpt every person I have to buy a gift for.

Zac Miller:

On a scale of 1 to 10, how chaotic is your family christmas?

Kim Gravel:

Telling you, my family needs the lord.

Zac Miller:

So you're spilling the tea with these questions.

Kim Gravel:

Oh, yeah. Get ready for the Kim gravel show. Hey, y', all, it's Kim gravel. Here I am, Kim, and you're listening to the kim gravel show. As always, I'm joined by my fantastic producer, Zac. What's up, Zac?

Zac Miller:

Hey, Kim. I'm so glad to be here. Merry christmas.

Kim Gravel:

Merry christmas. Happy hanukkah. Happy new. Happy what? Kwanzaa. All the things that bring the holidays in. But this is our merry christmas episode.

Zac Miller:

Yes. This is dropping on Christmas eve eve. Yes.

Kim Gravel:

So I want to wish y' all a merry christmas and just know it's the best time of the year. It's a good time to take stock of the year. To be thankful for what? And be grateful to spend time with your family. May or may not be a good experience as we're kicking off our holiday last night. Okay, okay, here we go. I'm gonna break it down. You know, I tell my real love Rick Rick story.

Zac Miller:

Here we go.

Kim Gravel:

So we start every year, and the holidays officially kick off for our family and our extended family. And let me just tell you now, the extended family has become my youngest, youngest son, Blanton's girlfriend and her family. I absolutely love them.

Zac Miller:

Wait, the girlfriend's family is coming on?

Kim Gravel:

Oh, last night. Let me just tell you what we did so every year. So we've got my nephew, his partner Justin. I've got my sister, her family, Me, my family, you know, the boys, Travis, Amy, my mom and dad. And then now blanton is dating someone. So I love the little girl, but I love her family, too. They'll remain nameless because they'll all be instantly, you know, probably harassed. But I absolutely love them.

Kim Gravel:

We. I love them so much. It's like, dang. I always swore I would never, like, do that before, you know, like when I have, like, you know, a daughter in law, whatever. I'm not going to try to get too attached until I know, like, put a ring on it, like that kind of thing.

Zac Miller:

Cause Blanton's only sixteen.

Kim Gravel:

He's only 16.

Zac Miller:

Okay.

Kim Gravel:

I absolutely love these people.

Zac Miller:

That is adorable.

Kim Gravel:

Okay, Zac. We have so much fun. We laugh. It is like, honest to God, we have so much fun. So anyway, last night, we kicked off the holiday holidays. My mother at bowsprings baptist church. My mother puts on the Christmas Pageant. Every single year, we cricket county Christmas.

Kim Gravel:

It's the same program every year. The only thing that changes is Mary and Jesus and Joseph. I mean, those are the three characters. Because you grow out of that role, right? You grow out of that role.

Zac Miller:

Yeah, because this is. This is kids doing it.

Kim Gravel:

This is little kids. It's little kids and adults. There's adults, too, sprinkled in. And the preacher, bless his heart, she makes him narrate. I mean, she's basically running the show.

Zac Miller:

Oh, my gosh. Does this scare the kids? Are they scared of her?

Kim Gravel:

Oh, no. Gosh, they love it. Blanton was a wise man last night. My little nephew Brantley, he's one of the shepherds. He looked like a karate kid. He looked like Daniel Sign from Karate Kid. Anyway, so, I mean, costumes, everything. So we're all sitting there and we're all in our little group, and it's hilarious.

Kim Gravel:

Cause we know mom, and it's just great. Kicks off the Christmas, and then we all go out to eat. So that is a tradition for me that happens every year. And I know at that point the holidays are here. Do you have any kind of tradition that, like, flips the switch where, you know, okay, your mind, everything goes holiday, you know, centric.

Zac Miller:

Yeah. Well, here's the thing. For me, so. So I'm. So I'm Jewish. And we celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah.

Kim Gravel:

Cause my wife and Hanukkah, that's double gifts. Double gifts.

Zac Miller:

Double gifts. Which is a lot. I got news for you.

Kim Gravel:

The kids love it.

Zac Miller:

The kids love it. Especially in this economy. No, but Hanukkah started. So we. This a couple weeks before Christmas Eve, and Hanukkah started last night. So like, that. To me, like, when Hanukkah is early like this. When Hanukkah starts in the middle of December, it's like, really? Oh, my gosh.

Zac Miller:

It's a holiday.

Kim Gravel:

Yeah.

Zac Miller:

School is still going. We're doing Hanukkah every night. Like, it's. It's nuts. So to me, it's like, oh, when Hanukkah starts, that is. That's. We're in it. Yeah, for sure.

Zac Miller:

And it's fun.

Kim Gravel:

It's so.

Zac Miller:

It's so great. I love it so much.

Kim Gravel:

I do, too. Holiday traditions are everything. And, like, as my parents are getting older, and so I, you know, I said, okay, what can we do this year to on our Merry Christmas show? Because we do one of these holiday shows every year. There's like, we're in and out with it. We love It. It's so much fun. Yeah. I wanted to do, like, a rapid fire.

Kim Gravel:

Well, first of all, I will tell you all this. Some of you might get mad. Some of you might think, well, she's just dealing with the devil on this one. I mean, you know, some of y' all might get a little crazy. I am obsessed. Okay, Hear me clearly, people. With chat GPT.

Zac Miller:

Okay?

Kim Gravel:

Okay, now let me explain.

Zac Miller:

Okay?

Kim Gravel:

You had a question. You had a question.

Zac Miller:

No, no, go ahead. I have no questions. I'm gonna save my questions to the end, Kim.

Kim Gravel:

Okay, so.

Zac Miller:

Cause I don't know where this is going. I have no idea where this is.

Kim Gravel:

It's going a lot of different places. But when I'm telling you, I feel like God knew to birth me in this season of my life, being in my 50s with this AI opportunity, right? Because I am probably with ChatGPT. One of the most brilliant people is walking the earth right now. I'm just telling you, with my life experience and every stinking bit of knowledge at my fingertips with ChatGPT, I'm telling you, I'm killing the game.

Zac Miller:

Okay, so you alone got some knowledge. No, got wisdom. You've got experience. Okay?

Kim Gravel:

I'm talking boots on the ground.

Zac Miller:

Got it, got it, got it.

Kim Gravel:

Marine Corps run and gun experience, right?

Zac Miller:

Yeah.

Kim Gravel:

And now at the tip of my fingers, in the tap of my keyboard, I can have all the data to back that up. I mean, I'm seriously considering running for governor of Georgia.

Zac Miller:

Get in there. Run. You would never run for governor. Come on. You are like the political person I have ever met.

Kim Gravel:

Never be in politics.

Zac Miller:

Could you imagine, like, I sometimes think about, like, you couldn't pay me enough to be governor of a state, but.

Kim Gravel:

This is the whole thing. I probably have a few skeletons in my closet that could really hit the Internet that could make or break me. I'm just saying that with chatgpt and the Lord, all things are possible. I mean, this Christmas, your holiday is getting ready to get made. Let me tell you why. Okay? So I decided. I decided because, like I said, kicked off last night, all the, you know, the cricket county Christmas, kicked off the holidays. I have got zip.

Kim Gravel:

Holiday shopping done. Nothing. Zip. I'm batting O4. Oh, I got nothing.

Zac Miller:

Okay.

Kim Gravel:

I decided this morning. I was just.

Zac Miller:

I would like to. We're recording this on December 15th. This is December 15th today, so there's not much time.

Kim Gravel:

10 days.

Zac Miller:

Yeah.

Kim Gravel:

I mean, Amazon is good, but in QVC with the easy pay is good. They this good. I mean, I'm behind people So I decided to sit at my computer and chat GPT every person. I have to buy a gift for you.

Zac Miller:

Chatgpt Christmas.

Kim Gravel:

I did. So I put in their names, who they, who, what they like, what their personality is like. That spit out the most amazing fire. I'm going to be balling and shot calling Christmas.

Zac Miller:

Really?

Kim Gravel:

Ideas?

Zac Miller:

Can you. Okay, so this doesn't. Since this doesn't come out until Christmas Eve, can you tell us what some of these gifts are so it won't ruin it? Okay.

Kim Gravel:

Okay. So the fact that I put in it. This is a true story. This is weird, y'. All. Either we. We're being listened to and watched all the time, but I put in there. Amy.

Kim Gravel:

Let's just use Amy, my bff. Y' all know the QVC audience is gonna know Amy. Everybody knows me. So I put in Amy and I said, I need some gift ideas for Amy. My best friend. Boo. Boo, Boo, Boo, Boo, Boo, Boo, Boo Boo. I even.

Kim Gravel:

I even. You can even put in pictures and everything. Cause I have the ChatGPT Pro. I paid subscription.

Zac Miller:

Oh, whoa, whoa. Go ahead and. Yeah, okay.

Kim Gravel:

So, y', all. You ain't getting nothing about. And when it spit out this shower head that my right hand to Jesus. She has been talking to me about that I completely forgot about is being one of the new, like, luxury items.

Zac Miller:

So she. So wait, you didn't say anything about showers or shower heads. It just knew. Yeah, that's creepy. That's super creepy.

Kim Gravel:

So. Because I do it on my phone. I do my chatgpt on my phone, so, you know, it's all listed to me. So I know everybody's gonna say Kim is like, walking with the devil now. She is now gone all in on ChatGPT. I'm telling you, I bought that shower head this morning.

Zac Miller:

Yeah, she had.

Kim Gravel:

She has matures. You know what I've been seeing online? Showerhead. And when ChatGPT suggested it, it came. I said, oh, my gosh. She has been suggesting. She has said that three times.

Zac Miller:

She's been dropping hints. So you so.

Kim Gravel:

Right.

Zac Miller:

So chatgpt.

Kim Gravel:

I've been seeing this. I've been seeing this. I've been seeing this.

Zac Miller:

So what you're saying is ChatGPT is eavesdropping on your conversations and better at picking up on Amy's hints than you are.

Kim Gravel:

That's. ChatGPT is going shopping for me.

Zac Miller:

That's amazing. Okay, wait, what are you getting Travis for from ChatGPT?

Kim Gravel:

Can you share that I got him? Cause I said he plays tennis. He's a coach. They suggested him some new Brooks cushion tennis shoes and said he's having a little foot problems. He's got some joint pain. So I just went and got him the Brooks like running shoes so that when he's, like, coaching, he's gonna, you know, his feet are gonna feel better. They're like. They're the number one. They're brand new.

Kim Gravel:

Great technology, y'. All. I didn't even have to think. It suggested everything for me.

Zac Miller:

For the record, this show is not sponsored by ChatGPT.

Kim Gravel:

I mean, ChatGpta. Call me honey. Cause this old queen, this old girl here can work it.

Zac Miller:

I mean, they're spending money left and right, so maybe they should come sponsor the show. We'll see.

Kim Gravel:

No, I'm serious. I mean, y', all, it was the easiest Christmas list I've ever done. Now I'm just plugging, playing.

Zac Miller:

That is so funny, Kim. Honestly, I will say I've been using ChatGPT more too, and it's been like. It's getting really good. It's getting scary good for.

Kim Gravel:

Well, I just wanna say that. Cause it learns you as a person, so, you know, it learns you as a person. So just to give you a little example, today Blanton just called me and said, mom, he's got a life hacks project that's due Thursday. He said, do you think you can help me do it? And what did I say? Sure can. But what do I mean by sure can, Zac?

Zac Miller:

Oh, well, chatgpt in your pocket can help him do it. For sure. Yeah.

Kim Gravel:

Dude, I'm obsessed. That is obsessed. All I want for Christmas is chatgpt.

Zac Miller:

It's a little fast.

Kim Gravel:

It's a little fast.

Zac Miller:

This is a little aggressive. Sleigh bells here.

Kim Gravel:

That. That slice sounds angry.

Zac Miller:

It's a little fast.

Kim Gravel:

No, I'm telling y', all, it changed my whole entire thought process of shopping where it was a task. Now I feel lifted up. And all I want is eggnog and a chocolate chip cookie.

Zac Miller:

I will say I've. I've started feeling like Christmas shopping now that my kids are, like, a little older and they really care. Like, my kids are, like, prime Christmas age, you know, still believe in Santa. Eight years old, five years old.

Kim Gravel:

So fantastic.

Zac Miller:

So, like, it's great. But I feel so much pressure. Like, me and Camille feel so much pressure to get, you know, good gifts and all the stuff.

Kim Gravel:

I'm telling you what to do. What's the modern fun toy for the kid? Do it. Try it, Zac.

Zac Miller:

Okay, I'll check it out. I'm going to do it. I'm going to check that out. Although most of. I think we're done. I think we're done with Christmas shopping.

Kim Gravel:

Okay. We are done. Oh, I'm just getting started. So I'm just telling you.

Zac Miller:

While you were saying that, I went on ChatGPT, Kim, and I asked ChatGPT for a list of. Because ChatGPT helps me with the podcast, so ChatGPT does the podcast. I don't have to tell it that much. I asked for Christmas rapid fire questions for you.

Kim Gravel:

Oh.

Zac Miller:

And it wrote. And it wrote in parenthes. I didn't write this. It wrote this parentheses. Funny, Slightly unhinged edition. So I haven't actually.

Kim Gravel:

So it really knows me. So it's really easy.

Zac Miller:

It knows the show. It knows you. It knows the show. It's like, yes, I want it to be funny and a little unhinged. So thank you, chatgpt.

Kim Gravel:

Here we go. All right, let's do it.

Zac Miller:

So this is like, I literally did this while you were talking. This was not planned. So let's see.

Kim Gravel:

This is ChatGPT's beauty. The beauty of ChatGPT rapid fire questions.

Zac Miller:

Okay, first question. Real tree or fake tree?

Kim Gravel:

Fake tree. I have 11 trees up, so. Fake tree.

Zac Miller:

You don't do any real tree?

Kim Gravel:

No, I ain't got time to water and do all that mess. Do not have time to vacuum up.

Zac Miller:

Where do you store. Wait, where do you store 11 trees? Do you have a storage locker with just Christmas stuff in it?

Kim Gravel:

We just store it in the garage and we park outside.

Zac Miller:

Okay.

Kim Gravel:

I have priorities, Zac.

Zac Miller:

Okay, Got it, got it. Eggnog delicious or a dairy based crime. That's what chat should be.

Kim Gravel:

Dairy based crime. It's too. It's too dense for me.

Zac Miller:

Okay, worst. I agree. By the way. Worst Christmas song of all time.

Kim Gravel:

You know, it's a K22.

Zac Miller:

And by the way, according to ChatGPT, it says, yes, there is a wrong answer, which is hilarious. ChatGPT is going to judge this answer, Kim.

Kim Gravel:

Well, you know, as they should. It's the best and the worst all at the same time. Grandma got run over by a reindeer. It's fantastic. It's a. It's a classic, but it's really very macabre. Okay. When you break it down.

Zac Miller:

Yeah. Best Christmas movie.

Kim Gravel:

Oh, okay. Can I. Can I. Can I separate it in genres?

Zac Miller:

Yeah, for sure.

Kim Gravel:

I mean, it's not just Christmas, but there's so in romantic comedy genre. It is the holiday.

Zac Miller:

Okay. The holiday.

Kim Gravel:

I can watch that on, like, repeat In a Christmas classic. It's White Christmas. It was Bing Crosby.

Zac Miller:

Yeah. Yep, yep.

Kim Gravel:

For, like, crazy fun. It is Elf or the Christmas Story. Either one. They go. They toggle back and forth for me. And then for the claymation category, because you have to have that category. It is Rudolph the Red Nose Ranger.

Zac Miller:

Yeah. It's got to be the classic.

Kim Gravel:

Real. I mean, that's the whole. Yeah, yeah. That's beyond. You know, that's just claymation. Those things. That's its own category, right?

Zac Miller:

Yeah. We watch that movie every year, and it's. It's great every time.

Kim Gravel:

There's so many iterations. There's so many movies of that style. Yeah. Where they're looking, they look.

Zac Miller:

You know, I actually. There was a time in my life when I wanted to do claymation, and then I realized how painstaking it is to make claymation, and I was like, that's not for me.

Kim Gravel:

I have the patience of job to do that. You really have to be. You have to own it and be in it.

Zac Miller:

Totally. Okay, let's do like, three more of these because ChatGPT gave me a lot. Okay, good one. Food that should not be part of Christmas but keeps showing up. Wow, that's a tough one.

Kim Gravel:

Tough one.

Zac Miller:

That's a hard one.

Kim Gravel:

Food that should not be in Christmas but keep showing up. Lord. I'm going, this is controversial. I've got two, actually.

Zac Miller:

Okay.

Kim Gravel:

Ham, I think ham. I'm just. I just. Ham just seems to be more Easter than Christmas for me.

Zac Miller:

I buy that.

Kim Gravel:

I love it. We have it. We get a ham every year. But I could just. To me, ham should be Easter. And I don't know. That's controversial. And then another thing is dressing.

Kim Gravel:

I don't think, like, stuffing and dressing should be Christmas. I think it should remain with the turkey in Thanksgiving.

Zac Miller:

Oh, I just. I hard disagree because I would eat stuffing for every meal if you gave me. Just. If you just. If I need. If I had a bread. I love bread, Kim. If I had a bomb shelter, I would just fill it with Stouffer stuff.

Kim Gravel:

Just Stouffer. Stuffing in the box of Stouffers is like. Stouffer's is like down in dirty stuffing, you know, that's like. Just add water and watch it expand. I mean, that is just. That's. That's what.

Zac Miller:

Look, there's an apocalypse. That's. I'm living it out.

Kim Gravel:

We're going, yeah, Stouffer. Good. Yeah, yeah, it's good. I will tell you, it is good.

Zac Miller:

Ugly sweaters, Iconic fun or forced participation Iconic fun.

Kim Gravel:

Yeah, I mean, that's just. I mean, there's in fact at the church last night, I think there was a lot of ugly Christmas sweaters. That was not that intention to wear, but it was there.

Zac Miller:

Okay, here, here's one. Here's one. When is it socially acceptable to throw the decorations away or to get rid of the decorations?

Kim Gravel:

  1. I take down my decorations January 1st or 2nd.

Zac Miller:

Okay.

Kim Gravel:

But keep in mind I put them up October 1st. Wait, that. That probably is inappropriate to put them.

Zac Miller:

Decorated for Christmas during Halloween. Like everyone else has got like, Halloween's out.

Kim Gravel:

I'm trying to put up no skeleton, honey. I'm trying to celebrate Jesus birth. Okay, we start early.

Zac Miller:

Oh, my gosh. Okay. Okay, this is the last one I'm gonna do. On a scale of 1 to 10, how chaotic is your family Christmas?

Kim Gravel:

21.

Zac Miller:

Okay, that's what I thought. Yes.

Kim Gravel:

So we do a holiday tradition, a game. We call it the lotto game. So, yes, we are singing Happy Birthday Jesus with the birthday cake and also gambling at the same time. I'm telling you, my family needs the Lord. We need prayer. But so we do what we call the lotto game. And, and so we have a big pot of lottery tickets, probably over 100 lottery tickets, prizes, gift cards, and we all put them in the middle. And we all sit around in my parents basement floor.

Kim Gravel:

And Amy and I write a game. And we have to play this game and we go around the circle and answer all the questions. And there has been a fist fight with me and Allison over a subway gift card. So I'm just telling you, it's a tradition that when you say how. What's the chaotic level? It's seriously. And no one. We care about the gifts. Everybody, we eat really fast, we open the gifts even faster, and then we are all like, we.

Kim Gravel:

We pee. We, you know, we, you know, run around outside, get our energy out to come for this game. I mean, we eat. I'm telling you, that's where the real prizes are. That's where the real fun begins. Stellato game, which is a little tacky, but it's memorable. We'll never forget our kids will never forget that we almost got in fistfights every Christmas over a subway gift card or a Yankee Candle.

Zac Miller:

Yeah, we gotta start doing something like that. That sounds like so much fun. That sounds like so much fun, Kip.

Kim Gravel:

There's such shade thrown in the questions. Like it's such. There's like. There's all this, like we're spilling.

Zac Miller:

What's an example? Question what's one example of a question?

Kim Gravel:

Oh, God. One year, it was like, you know, who was beau kissing? Da, da, da, da. And no one knew. Like, and only a couple people knew. And it was like, what? Like, we all didn't know. Like, who is someone dating or who is someone who took. You know.

Zac Miller:

Oh, so you're spilling the tea with these questions. Like, these are.

Kim Gravel:

Oh, yeah.

Zac Miller:

Oh, okay. Oh, it's. Oh, it's so much fun. Okay, got it.

Kim Gravel:

Oh, it's overshare. Inappropriate. That's why the chaos. Like, my mom will be like. Like, there'll be a question that my mom knew about my kids that I didn't know. Like. Cause they'll go to her with stuff they don't go to me with, so. And I'm like, what, be a Travis? Or, like, you know, it's just fantastic.

Kim Gravel:

But to me, that's what the holidays are all about. To me, that's what Christmas is. It's not about the gifts and it's not about the food, although that's good. And it's even not about the busy or even the rest of it all. It's about remembering what Christmas is for, which is Christmas, it's the birth of Jesus, but it's also remembering your loved ones and being with family. And I gotta say, doing this podcast and being with you guys every week and y' all tuning in. You are our extended family, and we love you so much, and we are so thankful for such a great year, and we're praying for you and your family to have a prosperous, beautiful Christmas. And even those of you whose family has gone on and maybe you might be a little lonely over this holiday season, just know that you have a friend and a family in Zac and I and the Kim Gravel show, and we want to wish you an amazing merry Christmas and know that you're prayed for and loved right here at the Kim Rebel Show.

Kim Gravel:

So Merry Christmas, everybody.

Zac Miller:

Merry Christmas. Bye, y'.

Kim Gravel:
