Find The Funny in Your Summer | Summer Series Part 5

Find The Funny in Your Summer | Summer Series Part 5

This week I want you to find one new thing in your everyday life that you can laugh about!

This is the last episode of my summer transformation series and it’s the funniest one yet! A few months ago, I started finding empty milk cartons all over my house. Since then, I’ve been finding food in the strangest places! I couldn’t figure out why my kids were doing this, but when I posted about it on social media, so many other moms had similar stories! That reminded me that when we come together we can laugh at almost anything.

This week, I want you to find one new thing in your everyday life that you can laugh about. When you choose to laugh at the random things in your life, you’ll find new moments of joy every single day. Find the funny in your summer!

This is our summer of transformation!

In this special 5-part series I’m transforming myself this summer and I invite you to join me! This show is about creating a community of women who are there for each other, and this series is packed with funny stories and simple advice that you can start following right now that will help you get the most out of your summer and begin transforming your life for the better.

Zac Miller: [00:00:00] I'm playing us in. I'm playing us in.

Kim Gravel: Play us in all in.

Hey, y'all welcome to LOL with Kim Gravel. This summer transformation series. This is our last episode, but we've saved the best for last. Okay. These episodes are these short little snippets that will help you transform become more confident and honestly, to make you laugh more, I, you know, There's a saying that laughter does a body good is better than medicine.

And so this series is packed with advice and laughter and things you can start doing right away to not only change your life, but just, you know, make you enjoy the journey a little bit more. I don't have all answers just going to give you that 411 right now, but I do have a lot of experience in transformation.

I've done it for myself and actually doing it right now. So my mission is to encourage you. To lift you up. You know, this show is about how we can embrace our real true [00:01:00] selves and laugh about it. Laugh about all that stuff, that life throws our way. So in this episode, we are gonna have a little fun.

Y'all we're gonna laugh because it does a body good, like a medicine. So let's do it right now. We're going to live out loud. Love out loud. In this episode, we gonna laugh out loud.

Zac Miller: Okay. I think the sound effect is like 30 seconds long.

Kim Gravel: I think that's fantastic. All right, Zac, this is our final episode of the summer transformation series.

Zac Miller: I feel a lot of pressure for the final episode, Kim.

Kim Gravel: You do? Oh, I don't. Listen. I'm ready to exhale. I ate something. I've got some bad gas I'm telling you. It's just one of those days.

Zac Miller: I was gonna say we have to be funnier in this one. Like we, like, if we've been funny,

Kim Gravel: well, don't try to be funny cuz when you try to be funny, you're it is never funny. So you can't try to be funny so, um, and this might be funny to know one but us.

Zac Miller: I'm honestly okay with that.

Kim Gravel: Me too. Me too. I, [00:02:00] I really don't care what people think you love it or don't we love you anyway. So this summer has been so much fun. And if you have followed me on social media, I don't know if you've seen this act, but I need to start some kind of like food found and funky places.com. Okay. have you been seeing this on my social media?

Zac Miller: Um, a little bit tell, so tell the list about what you're talking about.

Kim Gravel: It's insane. It's insane. So it all started, I would say about six months ago. I don't know. My first post was when I would find these milk, empty milk cartons. All over my house. Like I found one in the bathroom, I found, you know, a bowl, a spoon, a box of empty cereal and a Bo an empty milk carton, like under a bed, like everywhere.

Zac Miller: The cereal in the bathroom was the one that got me.

Kim Gravel: No dude [00:03:00] in, it was in the cup. It was in the actual, like under the sink where you keep the Clorox. You know, toilet bowl cleaning.

Zac Miller: It's obviously upsetting to me.

Kim Gravel: Okay. So I wanna just say this, like I can understand. like an empty rapper. Or even a half eaten Snickers bar or even, you know, I can, but milk and cereal. That's a very, I don't moist thing. ,

Zac Miller: so many people hate that word, Kim,

Kim Gravel: but it, I, this, I, I wanna be gross because it's gross. So I would find, but I would find them, at least they were empty.

So couple weeks ago I posted something. And I'm in my office. Now, my office with my stuff, I'm in my office and I'm walking by my TV, which, which understand it's like up against the wall. It's nothing fancy. And I look behind, behind the TV, [00:04:00] not below it, not underneath it behind. So you got to work to get behind a TV?

Okay. You can't just drop something down behind a TV. There is in half empty. So there's still milk in it. That has been cured that has bowl. That's chunky of milk behind my TV. Okay.

Zac Miller: We're just gonna have a moment of silence for that one. That's you know what? Nevermind. We're not gonna have that.

Kim Gravel: Right. Dude, it took work to put that shook milk behind that thing. You had to work at it, it wasn't just like a little casual, that's where I'm gonna go. So that's not the funny thing. So, I mean, I like now I look for it every day. Like I have my phone ready to watch and look . . So when I post this, this is what, what I love, cuz I'm [00:05:00] thinking, do I need to take my kid to the psychologist or counselor?

Is he hiding food? Like is he got a food issue? You know what I'm saying? I'm serious. Like I'm thinking to myself now it's not funny anymore. I mean, it's getting a little weird where I'm finding these things, you know, and blah, blah, blah. But I post that. So help me on social media. Go look. I cannot tell you, 20, 30, 40 comments, girl.

My kids did the same thing. I found a thing of ketchup in the shower. I cannot tell you. And it's mostly boys. It's like all boy moms. And I thought to myself when I saw that this morning, when I woke up after posting for what I post yesterday, cuz I found a box of rice crispiers, an empty bowl of spoon and a box of cheese.

That's behind my office chair just last night. I posted it last night. I felt so normal. I'm like, thank you, God, that I'm not it's do not have a milk fish.

I thought, Lord, I don't know if I can handle, [00:06:00] if my kid likes to just hide food for hiding food's sake. I don't know sake. I know people would foot fetishes. I get that people, all of that. If you got a milk fetish of hiding the milk drink, I don't know what to do with that honest to God, but I just said, I said to my boys, I'm like, guys, it's not just one.

It's both of them. I'm like, why are you doing this? Cuz I thought, well, maybe they're sleepwalking, you know, people sleepwalk, sleep, eating and all that. And they're like, I don't know. It just, yeah, I just shut it down and I thought, oh Lord have you ever heard of such. Everybody listening. Have you ever heard, I just telling you, I feel so.

Zac Miller: You feel seen.

Kim Gravel: I feel, I feel validated so this, this episode is how I'm laughing about spending $450,000 on jug the milk every, every week, because I told her, I say, we're not buying milk no more. Just we're not buying milk. We're not buying milk. He said, well, they'll just do it with orange juice.

Zac Miller: Yeah, that's the thing. That's the thing. [00:07:00] It's probably not the milk. It's just, what is it? I don't know. What do you think? What do you think is actually like the thought process behind that? Like that's what I

Kim Gravel: remember, Zac, when I told you I do not have all the answers at the top of every episode, this, this is where I'm asking everyone listening, help me, help me understand. I would love to hear what everybody else says about it. I don't know. I think it is. I just, I just think it's because you can, right.

Zac Miller: It's not like they're trying to hide it. Like, oh, it's not like they're hiding,

Kim Gravel: like, you know Hershey kisses or something. I mean, there it's just milk and cereal.

Zac Miller: Right, right. I was gonna say it's not right.

Kim Gravel: I don't know. I will say that. Oh my God. It is brought me so much laughter and so much joy to post those things.

Zac Miller: I feel like they're doing it just to mess with you.

Kim Gravel: That's what, okay. if they doing that, we get ready to get them a deal in Hollywood. We get ready to put them people along, cuz they is too.

What, what was that? Um, Ashton Kutcher used to do that show. Yes.

Yeah, [00:08:00] the prank show.

Zac Miller: Punked.

Kim Gravel: This is milked.

No, I'm just saying like, like got milk. I mean that's, that's gonna be my next hashtag. Oh my gosh. . Let's make a bet. Where will it be next?

Zac Miller: Oh, that's a good one. I'm trying to think of the most upsetting place it could be next. I mean has it actually been in the shower?

Kim Gravel: I couldn't even understand drinking in the shower.

I can get that. I don't, I wouldn't do it. I could see that with absolute noise.

Zac Miller: I would say right now, having a shower beer. Great. Love it. Long day, take a shower.

Kim Gravel: Have you had a shower beer?

Zac Miller: Oh a hundred percent.

Kim Gravel: Oh, there it goes that that's Bo's had a shower milk. That's what he's had shower milk, but behind the TV that I don't get.

Zac Miller: Yeah, no, that doesn't make sense.

Kim Gravel: But I cannot tell you y'all seriously, you gotta laugh about this stuff, cuz you're locked in the house with your kids. You know, so I get up and go, what am I gonna, what food item am I gonna find? [00:09:00] Where, where am I gonna find the jug of milk today? And I'll open it and the milk won't be in the refrigerator.

Oh my God. Well, how about I want bowl of cereal every now and then. Right?

Zac Miller: Right. Breakfast in bed. You know what? That would be really. Bo, if you're listening, if you're listening, bring mama bowl of cereal in the bed tomorrow.

Kim Gravel: Wonder how long that milk had been sitting there. That's the real question.

Zac Miller: So I have a version of this though, which is like the little kid version of this, which is. We have one of those little play kitchens, right? And so my two year old opens up the door to the fridge. The other, this is like a couple weeks ago, opens up door to the little play.

Fridge pulls out a milk, just starts drinking it. And me and my wife, a real milk, a real milk, like a real, like a, her little cup of milk. And we both look at each other. And run and grab it. And we're like, how long has that been in there? Right. That's been in [00:10:00] there for like days that has definitely been in there for like three.

And we're like, Googling, like, can you get sick from drink? The baby gets sick from drinking one, like one sip of milk,

Kim Gravel: but at least she's in a fo kitchen, a play kitchen. Mine is putting it under the bathroom sink and behind my TV. Okay. Already your kids are three steps ahead.

She was really

Zac Miller: proud of herself.

Kim Gravel: Good for her. Good for her. I just would tell everybody listening right now. If you're at home with the kids this summer, it's getting towards the end of the summer. You're counting down the days to back to school. Find the funny in some of these things these kids do, because they have been some of the best social posts I have made.

And I feel good that we're all in this together. Your kids are hiding food too. So listen. We have thoroughly enjoyed this series. This transformational. This [00:11:00] summer transformational series, Zac, how much fun have we had?

Zac Miller: This has been fun. I've loved this. I think we should do this all the time. We're back to full episodes though, coming up in the next couple weeks and we have some great stuff in store for next season of the show.

Don't we Kim?
